For younger readers, the idea of a magical media landscape devoid of the Harry Potter franchise and Lord of the Rings movie marathons might seem inconceivable and bleak in contrast to the wealth of series centered around young witches and wizards today. We had few positive representations of contemporary witches on the screen. Aside from The Wizard of Oz
